Adam Sisman

Adam Sisman is a British writer, editor and biographer, who holds an honorary fellowship at the University of St Andrews. He is the author of the acclaimed biographies of two historians often considered rivals – A.J.P. Taylor and Hugh Trevor-Roper. Among his most recent published works are the authorised biography of John Le Carré (2015), two volumes of letters by Patrick Leigh Fermor (2016 and 2018) and The Professor and the Parson: A Story of Desire, Deceit and Defrocking (2019).

Adam Sisman visited St Andrews on 19th April 2022 where Professor Richard Whatmore interviewed him about his life and work in fron of an audience in Parliament Hall.
