“‘Normal for Norfolk’: Two Legal Antiquaries on the Norman Conquest”

We are delighted to invite you to the annual ILCR and St Andrews Institute of Intellectual History ‘Winch Lectures’ on “‘Normal for Norfolk’: Two Legal Antiquaries on the Norman Conquest,” by George Garnett (Oxford) taking place on Monday 13th, Tuesday 14th, and Thursday 16th May, from 5.15pm in the Old Class Library (Mediaeval History Building, 71 South Street, St Andrews). The Monday lecture will be followed by a wine reception, the Thursday lecture by wine and pizza.

There are no questions immediately after the lectures, but Professor Garnett will hold a ‘cafe hour’ at Zest from 11am on Wednesday 15th May for anyone wishing to ask him questions and there will also be a seminar for discussion arising from the lectures at 10am on Friday 17th May.

Date (Lectures): Mon. Tues. & Thurs., 13, 14 & 16 May 2024, 5.15pm

Date (Seminar): Fri., 17 May 2024, 10am
